Cancellation Policy:
24-hour notice is required. If notice is not provided, the client will be charged for the session. Make-up sessions may be scheduled depending on the therapist’s availability.
Please understand that when you forget, cancel, or change your appointment without giving enough notice, we miss the opportunity to fill that appointment time, and clients on our waitlist miss the opportunity to receive services.
It is mutually understood that if a cancellation is due to circumstances beyond any of our control, such as power outage, unfortunate incident, or weather that requires you or us to have to cancel or be closed during regular business hours, we will reschedule your existing appointment and no discount or charges will apply.
As a courtesy, your appointments are confirmed electronically the day before your scheduled appointment by email and/or text messaging from our online appointment scheduling software because we know how easy it is to forget an appointment you booked months ago. From this confirmation email, you have the option of the following without a charge:
-
confirm your appointment from the link provided in the email;
-
reschedule/change/modify your appointment from your online account;
-
cancel your appointment from your online account;
-
respond back by email with any changes or issues;
-
call our office number which is provided in the email for customer service;
-
start a Live Chat from the website for customer service.
Please understand that it is your responsibility to remember your appointment dates and times in order to prevent any missed appointments which result in a cancellation fee. Not receiving an electronic notification of your appointments from us the day before is not sufficient reason to miss an appointment if the original confirmation notification was received timely. A link to automatically upload the appointment to your calendar is provided on every electronic confirmation.
Lateness Policy:
All therapy sessions are to begin at the scheduled time. If the client is late, he/she will be seen for the remainder of the session. If the therapist is late, she must provide the allotted time.
Any late arrival will shorten your appointment time and will not be made up by running into the next client’s scheduled appointment. A reminder email is sent 1 hour before the scheduled appointment to verify the appointment status.
Any appointment missed, late canceled, or changed without 2 hours notice will result in a charge equal to 100% of the reserved service amount. The appointment may be taken off of a contract/package or charged individually.
Other Circumstances:
Emergency absences will be considered on an individual basis by Jennifer Whittington. You may request not to be charged for the late canceled session in writing within 7 days if you feel such action is warranted. Jennifer Whittington will make the decision to honor your request on a case-by-case basis and will respond back to you in writing within 7 days.
It is mutually understood that if a cancellation is due to circumstances beyond any of our control, such as power outage, unfortunate incident, or weather that requires you or us to have to cancel or be closed during regular business hours, we will reschedule your existing appointment and no discount or charges will apply.
Payment:
Payment must be made at the time of service. This office processes payments through PayPal. PayPal accepts all major credit cards from Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. If you find your credit card is not being accepted with a message such as "The card you entered cannot be used for this payment. Please contact us.
Insurance:
R.I.S.E. Innerversity does not accept insurance. Please reference our Medical Disclaimer for further information. THIS OFFICE IS NOT A MEDICARE PROVIDER. https://www.empireheyoka.com/legal
Frequent Absence:
If the client cancels 3 consecutive sessions without sufficient notice or if those absences are not due to illness or emergency, the therapist will consider immediate termination of services.
I have read and fully understand the contents of this contract.
Late Payments:
Payments 1+ day past due will NOT have access to any membership perks and a $100 late fee will be added to your balance. Memberships 7 days past due will be removed entirely and any discounted membership dues will not be renewed or honored. Payment plan interruptions occurring more than twice will result in collecting the remaining balance in full and no further payment plan options will be honored.
Refunds:
No refunds will be given for any self-study courses, subscriptions or programs.

I understand that Reiki is a simple, gentle, hands-on energy technique that is used for stress reduction and relaxation. I understand that Reiki practitioners do not diagnose conditions nor do they prescribe or perform medical treatment, prescribe substances, nor interfere with the treatment of a licensed medical professional. I understand that Reiki does not take the place of veterinary care. It is recommended that the animal see a licensed veterinarian for any physical ailment they may have. I understand that Reiki can complement any veterinarian care that the pet may be receiving. I agree that I will inform my practitioner of any significant health changes prior to future appointments. I also understand that the body has the ability to heal itself and to do so, complete relaxation is often beneficial. I acknowledge that long- term imbalances may sometimes require multiple sessions in order to facilitate the level of relaxation needed by the body to heal itself. I understand that Reiki practitioners are providing Reiki at my request and are not responsible for the outcome of the session. The animal directs the treatment, therefore, session length and results vary per each session.
Guiding Principles:
-
I believe the animals are equal partners in the healing process.
-
I honor the animals as being not only my clients, but also my teachers in the journey of healing.
-
I understand that all animals have physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects, to which Reiki can bring profound healing responses.
-
I believe that bringing Reiki to the human/animal relationship is transformational to the human view of the animal kingdom.
-
I dedicate myself to the virtues of humility, integrity, compassion and gratitude in my Reiki practice.
In working on myself, I follow these practices:
-
I incorporate the Five Reiki Precepts into my daily life and Reiki practice.
-
I commit myself to a daily practice of self-healing and spiritual development so that I can be a clear and strong channel for healing energy.
-
I nurture a belief in the sacred nature of all beings, and in the value and depth of animalkind as our partners on this planet.
-
I listen to the wisdom of my heart, remembering that we are all One.
In working in the community, I hold the following goals:
-
I model the values of partnership, compassion, humility, gentleness and gratitude in my life and with the animals, teaching by example.
-
I work to create professional alliances and cooperative relationships with other Reiki practitioners/teachers, animal health-care providers and animal welfare organizations in my community.
-
I strive to educate my community in its understanding of the benefits of Reiki for animals.
-
I continually educate myself to maintain and enhance my professional competence so that I uphold the integrity of the profession.
-
I consider myself an ally to the veterinary and animal health community. I work to support their efforts in achieving animal wellness and balance. I honor other disciplines and their practitioners.
In working with the human companions of the animals, I will:
-
Share information before the treatment about my healing philosophy, the Reiki healing system and what to expect in a typical treatment, as well as possible outcomes, including the possibility of healing reactions.
-
Provide a clear policy ahead of time regarding fees, length of treatment and cancellation policy, as well as “postponement” policy, should the animal not want the treatment that day.
-
Honor the privacy of the animals and their human companions.
-
Share intuition received during Reiki treatments, with compassion and humility, for the purpose of supporting their understanding of the healing process.
-
Respect the human companion’s right to choose the animal’s healing journey, selecting the methods, both holistic and/or conventional that he or she deems most appropriate, with the support and advice of a trusted veterinarian.
In working with the animals, I follow these guidelines:
-
I work in partnership with the animal.
-
I always ask permission of the animal before beginning, and respect his or her decision to accept or refuse any treatment. I listen intuitively and observe the animal’s body language in determining the response.
-
I allow each animal to choose how to receive his or her treatment; thus each treatment could be a combination of hands-on, short distance and/or distant healing, depending on the animal’s preference.
-
I let go of my expectations about how the treatment should progress and/or how the animal should behave during the treatment, and simply trust Reiki.
-
I accept the results of the treatment without judgment and with gratitude toward Reiki and the animal’s openness and participation in the process.
